Oh, hello there. It’s been awhile. Like…years since I last updated the Johnny High Ground site. And it’s been getting to me, I have to tell you. I’ve had a handful of songs ready to record since, oh, somewhere around 2005 or 2006.
I know, right?
Last year I launched Plastic Axe, a site covering music games, and seeing the flood of new tunes — especially the often-iffy tracks on the otherwise amazing Rock Band Network — has had me jonesing to put out more stuff of my own. But one thing always led to another, and those songs just never got recorded. But lately I’ve found myself getting more and more eager to put some new music into the world. And the tools for doing so — and for spreading the word — have spread and evolved since the last time I put something up. So I’m back in, baby.
Well, almost back in. Here are my plans at the moment: First, I’ll probably put all my old stuff up on Amazon and/or iTunes, to make it freely available and easily downloadable. (And hey, a little income certainly wouldn’t hurt, you know?) Then I plan to record some new stuff, in whatever form I can. That may mean publishing rough demo versions of some tunes — just me and an acoustic — or it might be something more robust. Maybe both! It’s a crazy new world.

I think this’ll be fun. Glad you’re coming along for the ride.
