What happens when technology and creativity strike one
another in a head-on collision of destiny? What happens when
state-of-the-art means what it says? What happens when the power goes to
the people, when DIY becomes more than just another image-driven punk-rock
cliche, when the big bad record labels do what every big, bad, bloated
juggernaut in history has ever done, sailing right past the exit-only lane
in a spectacularly sad and funny defeat to the inescapable forces of
inertia? I haven't the faintest idea. But I imagine it would sound
something like this. latest news Hello my long-lost friends. Just wanted to drop a quick update about the live band situation -- it's happening, but slowly; trying to get adult humans together to rock turns out to be a lot more challenging than when we were all in hick school and college. Chances are the final product won't be called Johnny High Ground, though. Still, I will most likely retain this site for my business stuff and solo musical experiments, whatever happens. One other piece of news. If you're doing your own home recording, you might be interested in this article I wrote for MacLife which just went live over the weekend. It's about building your own loops in Apple's GarageBand, and I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. posted by JHG on Sunday, August 31, 2008
