Sometimes it’s weird being me. I’ve had the skeleton of a song sitting on the back burner for years — literally, years. I liked what I had of it, but it just never really seemed like it was done. And then, last week, in the shower — not even joking — I finished it. I realized in retrospect that I’d been waiting for a B-section, and while thinking about all the protests lately about money’s role in politics, the B-section just sort of assembled itself.

This morning, barely a week later, I finished this:

Everything but that middle section has been rattling around in my brainpan for longer than I can remember, but all of a sudden it all came together and it all came out. You can read the lyrics on the song page here, or head over to the Bandcamp page to download your own copy.
